”Never trust anything that can think for itself if you can’t see where it keeps its brain.”

A notorious murderer named Sirius Black has been imprisoned for 12 years in the creepy fortress of Azkaban. Black, who killed thirteen people with a single curse, is considered to be the services of the Dark Lord Voldemort. Finding a way to escape from Azkaban, Black has only one person after him: Harry Potter. Even within the magic walls of the witchcraft school, Harry is not safe with his friends and teachers. Because there may be a traitor among them.

Harry Potter is, as usual, treated like a unwanted child when he lives with Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia before moving on to his third year of school. On top of that, Uncle Vernon’s sister, Marge, shows up. She treats Harry badly, just like the others. One day, after Marge makes bad accusations aganist Harry’s family, Harry can’t stand it and casts a spell. Moreover, he doesn’t even have his wand in his hand. Not realizing what is going on, Harry quickly packs his things and runs away from the house. He also thinks that he will be expelled from school. Because wizards and witches who are younger than a certain age aren’t allowed to use magic outside of school.

Harry, who left the house in fear at midnight, also heard the news about the notorious murderer Sirius Black. He doesn’t know what to do while waiting on the street. Hogwarts still has plenty of time to open. After a while, he notices scary yellow eyes in the darkness, and then a huge purple bus comes down the road. While Harry is hesitant to get on the bus that stops right in front of him, the man out of his mind tells him that the bus coming for him. Harry gets on the bus, although hesitantly, later learns that the bus is the Knight Bus for wizards and witches.

He comes straight to the Leaky Cauldron, where Harry is worried when he encounters the Minister of Magic. Fortunately, something unexpected happens. The Minister of Magic is treating Harry better than he expected. Harry will stay in the Leaky Cauldron until Hogwarts opens. As Harry’s 13th birthday started with problems, worries will haunt him throughout school.

I finished Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in three days. Harry Potter was one of the books where my level was high. It was definitely different from the movie, much more detailed. I don’t know if you’ve seen the movie, but everything you wonder about in the movie is clearly given in the book. There are so many differences between in the movie and the book that I can’t count. Had the same been adapted for the big screen, his films would have achieved much greater success.

In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the matches of Quidditch, a wizarding sport, were incredible. They make three appearances during the semester, and only once in the movie. At the same time, Cedric Diggory, whom we see for the first time in the Goblet of Fire in the movie, actually appears in the Prisoner of Azkaban book as a Hufflepuff Seeker during the match. In the movie, the events that take place in the Shrieking Shack are described in detail in the book and the chracters are much deeper. There’s definitely enough to fall in love with Professor Lupin. So, as I always say, books are better than movies.

Oh and Marauders…

Moony, Prongs, Padfoot and Wormtail are so beautiful… Of course, Wormtail was frustrating, but reading them in the book, I thought that J. K. Rowling, like most people, should definitely write about the Marauders. There is so much to be told about them and it should not be limited to this. I’m sure there are many people who think like me, I hope Rowling hears one of our voices and takes a hand in this.
